Now in his 70s Rod is a lively, youthful, friendly figure full of energy and absorbing stories from his long career in the music business. He is one of the original survivors of his era and still reflects the 60s culture in his appearance, lifestyle and music – a super guy.

At Covent Garden’s exciting new gallery Our Wonderful Culture in Summer 2021 a privileged few were treated to Rod Lynton’s intimate insights into British music history.
I was reminded slightly of Tommy Steele by the charming singer/guitarist of 60s band Rupert’s People who modestly delivered delicious gems – his shared thoughts and memories from a flourishing creative production career.
The song “Reflections of Charlie Brown” strongly influenced Procul Harem’s ”Whiter Shade of Pale”.
Rod’s direction to John Lennon and Phil Spectre created the uniquely distinctive arrangement of “Imagine”.
